Spring is finally here! Not only is spring my favorite
season because of the gorgeous weather, it also allows me to rock my favorite
florals. The only downside of Spring here in Virginia is the insane
amount of pollen floating around. As much as I love being outdoors this
time of year, my allergies do not. Because my allergies have prevented me
from wearing my contacts, I’ve been forced to wear glasses every day.
Thankfully, I was able to score a pair of these super cute and affordable
Firmoo glasses. Not only do they help me out this time of year when I
can’t wear my contacts, they are the perfect accessory to every outfit.

It’s hard to believe, but I survived another cold winter in
the RVA. To keep warm, I mainly wore tights or skinny jeans with long
sleeve thermos t-shirts and lots of riding boots or sneakers. On a few
occasions I did layer up with my favorite black Friday finds (plaid blazers)
from Tarjay aka Target and snapped some worth sharing outfit pictures.
Most fashion bloggers are knee deep into Spring wear, but
here I am just trying to catch up. The third outfit is the perfect all
year long LBD. I found this little gem on the Loft clearance rack while
helping a friend find a dress during our lunch break. The dress
didn’t have a price tag but when I took it up to the register it rang up for
$5.00 YES! $5.00 is less than a lunch meal! At that price I didn’t
even bother to try it on since I figured I had nothing to lose. Luckily
for me, it fit me just right and it paired perfectly with my faux fur vest.
Also, here’s little update on my training. I started
my “hard-core” diet mid-February right after my birthday. I then began my
gym training the first of March. I can definitely see and feel changes in
my body, especially in my clothes. I adopted a fitness lifestyle about 18
months ago and I have made quite a bit of progress. Now with my new diet,
the changes are more evident than ever. I would like to share my progress
with you all and hope no one gets offended. This has become a huge part
of my life and I intend to keep it up and hopefully inspire and help anyone who
wants to make a change and just needs that little push or motivation.
I hope everyone had a great Holiday season and a fantastic
New Year. As expected, mine was busy with family visiting from out of
town. Thankfully I had great help from my wonderful mother in law.
Unfortunately my mom and younger sister didn’t come up from Miami this year
because my grandmother is simply too old and fragile, but luckily we’ll be
seeing them in a few weeks for my cousin’s wedding back home. I’ve
started this year with great excitement and high expectations since I decided
to pursue my passion in fitness and train to compete in a bikini bodybuilding
show in mid-summer or beginning of fall. This will definitely take up
most if any of my free time, but in between my legging days and messy hair I
will still dress up and snap pictures of my bargain outfits worthy of sharing
with you all. Until next time, here are some of last month’s
outfits before the crazy cold hit the RVA.

As I’ve mentioned before, I have recently become more
dedicated to maintaining a healthy lifestyle and participating in a fitness
regimen. Because I’m spending so much more of my off time in the gym,
I’ve unfortunately been slacking when it comes to posting on my blog.
Since I don’t have the time to individually post all of the outfits I’ve
recently worn, here are some of my favorite looks from the past few months.
