I could practically live in these comfy harem pants my
mother in law gave me during our trip to Florida. I probably wouldn’t
have picked them out for myself thinking they wouldn’t be too flattering, but I
was mistaken. I wore them during our trip on one of our nightly outings and
I’ve also been able to dress them up for work. The neutral leopard print
makes them easy to match and pair with any color. I hope this trendy
style doesn’t go out of style any time soon.
Since I was a little girl, yellow has always been my favorite color. In
the past few years though I’ve become very fond of the color mint.
I’ve mentioned in previous posts how versatile this color is and how well it
blends into all the seasons. I have several mint color tops and a
pair of skinny corduroy jeans that fit me a little too loose. The one item
I felt I was missing was my all-time favorite “pencil skirt.” So when
JCrew came out with this perfect little number, I stalked it until it
went on sale, and finally when it became a clearance
item with an additional 40% off. Let me just tell you I scored
big time. I paid a fraction of the original price and I’m completely in love
with the fabric and fit. This beautiful skirt was definitely worth the
another note, how perfect does this beautiful blouse match this skirt? My
best friend from Miami, Maydivi, gave it to me as a gift during
our trip to Florida this past summer.
I feel like some styles quickly come and go in the fashion
industry, but fortunately peplum tops have stuck around. The feminine
silhouette hides little imperfections and can be worn with any bottom and for
any different occasion. Last week when the temperatures were still
in the mid 80’s I decided to pair my classic black peplum top with a leopard
print pencil skirt.
noticed lots of fellow bloggers rocking some fabulous fall looks, but here I am
holding on to summer as much as possible. The weather transition in Virginia
is quite moderate and very pleasant. You can definitely wear your silky tops
without having to worry about getting some icky sweat stains. I do
have some cute layering outfit ideas in the woodworks, but for now I’m
just going to keep wearing my pencil skirts and enjoy the perfect weather.
wanted to purchase a trendy jumpsuit for quite a while but felt like most of
them were a bit more for going out rather than being office appropriate.
I was thrilled when I found these pants at Target in the clearance
section especially since I knew right away I would be able to pair them with
this navy silky top I scored at Plato’s closet for only $5.00 brand new! I
added the gold belt and this two piece outfit became an instantaneous chic
jumpsuit for the office.

week kicks off another great NFL Football season. Even though I don’t
always get to watch the entire game on TV, I still love to show support
for my favorite football team, the Washington Redskins. My wonderful
mother in law gifted me my first jersey and I wanted to add a touch of class by
pairing it with a pencil skirt and leopard print shoes for a perfect
office appropriate outfit.
will you be representing your favorite team this season?
I purchased these pants this Spring at Old Navy when they
were only $10.00 during a one day sale event. I’ve never featured them on
the blog because I’ve typically worn them with a t-shirt on the weekend or for
a casual look to work on Fridays. But this time I decided to dress them
up by pairing them with a bright color cami, a blazer, and some fun girly
