Are you ready for some Football?

This week kicks off another great NFL Football season.  Even though I don’t always get to watch the entire game on TV,  I still love to show support for my favorite football team, the Washington Redskins.  My wonderful mother in law gifted me my first jersey and I wanted to add a touch of class by pairing it with a pencil skirt and leopard print shoes for a perfect office appropriate outfit.

How will you be representing your favorite team this season?

Dressing up Camo

I purchased these pants this Spring at Old Navy when they were only $10.00 during a one day sale event.  I’ve never featured them on the blog because I’ve typically worn them with a t-shirt on the weekend or for a casual look to work on Fridays.  But this time I decided to dress them up by pairing them with a bright color cami, a blazer, and some fun girly shoes.

From Work to Weekend

I mentioned in my previous post that while we were on vacation in Florida I was able to do some shopping. The only particular thing I had in mind were white skinny jeans.   Before finding them at TJMAXX, I did purchase these high waisted jeggings at the Aeropostale outlet store for only $5.99. The hubs reminded me that they weren’t on my “buy list” but honestly for the price and fit I wasn’t going to pass these up.  These are the second pair of high waisted jeggings (original post) I’ve purchased from Aeropostale and I just love how comfortable and versatile they are.

My Summer Version of Pink, Navy Stripes & White

While we were on our Florida trip, we were able to do a little bit of shopping and take advantage of the outlet deals.  Although I spent most of my money on new sneakers and matching workout clothes, I was on a mission to find a perfect crisp white pair of skinny jeans. I searched plenty of the outlet stores with no luck until one evening the hubs suggested TJMAXX.  Sure enough that’s where I found these babies in the Junior’s department.  They may not have been on clearance, but with a price tag of $19.99 I simply couldn’t pass them up.

Guess who’s back…

I’m finally back from a month long hiatus.  My family and I went on our annual vacation to Florida and had a wonderful time visiting our families and friends.  Unfortunately, our trip wasn’t without a bit of sadness as my maternal grandfather passed away the day before we were to begin our road trip down to Florida. It has been a very difficult time for me and my family, but I know he was a man of God and lived a prosperous life.

Thankfully, I was able to celebrate the life of my grandfather and be with my family in Miami for the first several days of our trip.  For the second half of our trip, we traveled up to Orlando and stayed with the hubs’ family. Here are some of my favorite pictures from the trip.

Stripes and Polka Dots

Since I own similar pieces, I immediately fell in love with this outfit inspiration on Pinterest.  The weather has been crazy hot here so I decided to make this an easy summer look.  Stripes, polka dots, and navy are a match made in heaven.

On another note, my family and I are headed on our annual Florida vacation to spend time with our familia and also have some much needed R&R.  Unfortunately, with this trip comes a lot of sadness. My maternal grandfather has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and passed away.  I plan on sharing some of our family experiences on Instagram so hopefully the happy moments fill up my heart.

Summer Love… Mint and Coral

I paired mint and coral for the first time last summer and was immediately in love with the combination. Since then, I’ve become obsessed with the color mint.  Finding new ways to wear it is always so much fun and never disappointing.
